The week starts with a 13 mile evening run through the southside parks. I felt tired from the weekend so skip Rouken Glen.
A new session at the club on Tuesday evening. Grassy hill climb, a short walking recovery, a 300m flat sprint followed by another walking recovery. Repeat 5 times until burst. Wasn't so strong on hills as sprints. Lovely evening.
More intervals on Wednesday, this time with the BBC lunchtime crew. 4 x 1 mile at 6:00 pace. Good energy levels left at the end of each mile.
Thursday evening was the penultimate race of the Polaroid 10k Series in Dumbarton. Much milder conditions, perfect for racing, produced many pbs including mine. I ran a 34:34, finishing 13th overall and picking up the 4th vet prize.
On Saturday morning I ran a base pace 9 miles which included a 4 mile hill climb to pick up our car we left at friends the night before. One way to blow the hangover away.
